Welcome to our Site
2012 is crazy here at NPD so make sure you are part of it… NPD is the ONLY place to learn Pole Dance FITNESS in the North East. We were the first PDC approved school in Newcastle as well as being the biggest and most loved school. Come along to a class and see what the fuss is all about – get fit and have fun in a safe environment with highly experienced instructors. NPD is un-questionably the number 1 pole school in the North East.
NPD is an experienced and successful Pole Dance company, our team work extremely hard to ensure our Parties and Classes are the best possible Pole Experience you can get. The company started out as a hobby, with the intention to provide Pole Dancing as a form of fitness and fun in areas where no reputable companies remained. It quickly escalated to become a full time job and is now one of the most successful pole schools in the UK. Our priority is safety and fun, our classes are ideal for all levels from beginner right through to super-advanced! 2012 sees the addition of TriFly Fitness and Aerial Yoga as well as our well known Pole Fitness and Flexibility Classes.
MEET THE GANG
Position. Managing Director & Principal Instructor
I’ve been pole dancing for about 6 years now and have found such a difference in my strength and body tone. I have a performing background starting with Ballet lessons from a very young age. I joined Youth Theatre in school and thoroughly enjoyed every performance. I left school and began a Performing Arts Diploma in College. Nowadays I have a “proper job” but I still love to show off and I love to see the difference I can make to women’s confidence in just a couple of hours with pole dancing. I have been very lucky to have had such good instructors to help along the way and make NPD the Pole School it is today. I rarely get the chance to perform or to compete these days as I’m usually the one with the clipboard and steam coming out of my ears, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Name. Irenna
Position. Director of Admin & Assistant Instructor
Irenna has recently been drafted in to look after the day to day running of Northern Pole Dance. She has been a student of NPD before becoming an Assistant Instructor in classes. She is one of the most requested Party Instructors during the Pole Party season and has a glowing feedback report from a number of our linked event companies. Hardworking and disciplined Irenna has become and invaluable member of the admin team as well as a very well liked and popular instructor.
I started learning the art of Pole Dancing in 2005. After only one year my confidence and self esteem rocketed to the top and I entered an amateur competition – Pole Angel of the North 2006. I won the title and I was later offered a teaching position with that company. While teaching beginner and intermediate levels, I kept on training to get to the more advanced levels. I also started instructing for hen parties and that is so much fun! I now teach for various Pole Dancing Companies in the North East. I include some personal touches such as cheerleading, french cancan, cabaret and belly type dancing to make teaching more fun.
Calypso is PDC level 1 instructor, ETM level 2 and first aid trained. Calypso holds comprehensive insurance from Professional Fitness.
Name. Isabelle

Position. Chief Instructor and NPD’s PR and design guru
I have been pole dancing for about 3 years and teaching for Northern Pole Dance since the beginning 2010. My background is one of strict classical dance having attended The Royal Ballet School from a young age. At 18, I took the big decision to give up dancing completely and quite honestly thought I would never go back. However, pole dancing has changed all that! I started pole dancing after attending a taster session with another North East company and from there caught the bug! I then progressed quickly through the levels and joined Northern Pole Dance in 2009 as an Advanced student. Not long after, Aimee asked me to join the team as an instructor and consequently, I now teach mainly Intermediate and Advanced level as well as some one-to-one tuition. Pole dancing is a great source of fitness and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone. My confidence has increased massively since taking it up and I’ve developed muscles that I never knew I had. But, most importantly it’s great fun and I love it!
Isabelle is a PDC level 1 instructor and first aid trained. Isabelle holds comprehensive insurance with Professional Fitness.
I started poledancing classes 5 years ago and loved it so much I haven’t stopped since. My confidence, fitness and flexibility all improved, I lost weight and most of all, it’s such great fun! I try to pass on my knowledge, passion and enthusiasm in each and every class to ensure that you get the most out of it, no matter what your motivation to pole dance.
Anyone can learn, regardless of age, size, ability and experience and I will always try to tailor my teaching to your needs and wants.
I’m still picking up new moves and styles to improve my standard and I’m privileged to have the opportunity to continue learning and teaching with Northern Pole Dance, one of the most respected pole dancing schools in the north east.
Even if you’re still not sure – come to our taster sessions and just give it a go!
Jo holds comprehesive insurance with Professional Fitness and is trained in first aid.
Name. Toni
Position. Assistant Instructor
I’ve been pole dancing for over 3 years now and absolutely LOVE it. Always fancied trying it out but never had the bottle to go through with it feeling a bit self conscious about myself. When I finally plucked up courage to learn I started dancing with Northern Pole Dance. My confidence soon went through the roof and I lost weight, gained flexibility and also toned up, gaining muscles I never knew I had.
Progressing quite quickly through the levels I started helping out as a teaching assistant at the beginning of the 2010 and have never looked back since. It’s a great feeling knowing you boost a girls confidence within such a short period of time, and seeing the girls progress and build up so much strength/confidence they thought they would never have makes you as an instructor feel so proud. I, like a lot of people I can imagine, joined a gym with all good intentions but after a while it does start to get a bit monotonous and boring, with pole dancing you don’t get that, it doesn’t feel much like your doing a full workout, and there is no limits as to how much you learn, I am still having so much fun learning new moves/styles, pushing myself to progress and improve standards. Pole dancing is a great source of fitness and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone, regardless of age, size, experience, the class will be tailored to your own individual needs/wants.
Toni is currently studying ETM level 2 and is first aid trained.
